I Guess You'll Never Get A Straight Answer From Barney

Verum Serum and Hot Air have both caught Barney Frank lying through his liberal teeth.

Barney is now trying to convince the world (or maybe himself) that he alone was the voice of reason when the evil Republicans pushed through the subprime mortgages, resulting in people “being pushed” into buying houses they could not afford.

Of course, everyone with any sense or ability to read (and now to watch on video) knows that it was the Democrats under Carter who began this economic timebomb. It was the Democrats under Clinton who expanded it tremendously and hastened the coming of the downfall.

Everyone can watch the video of Barney himself in 2005 promoting the housing for the can’t-afford-it crowd at the two sites, coupled with the video of him this past weekend pretending it was Republicans who thought up the entire idea.
