Oops, My Bad, Statutory Edition

A 34 year old male teacher was convicted of having sex with a 12 year old girl. Although he was found guilty, there were many people who said he did nothing wrong. His wife, however, divorced him and took custody of their children.

After serving seven years in prison, which gave the girl enough time to grow past the age of consent, the man was released and he married the girl soon thereafter. After having two children of their own, the couple is now being glamorized at a local bar in Seattle in an event called, “Hot For Teacher Night.” According to the bar’s owner, it’s “OK for the couple to have some fun.”

The anger across the country at a convicted child molester being feted by a bar is deafening. Journalists from all mediums are condemning the act, and courts are being held accountable for allowing the pedophile to marry the victim.

Oops, my bad.

It was actually a female teacher who was convicted of statutory rape for molesting a young boy 22 years her junior. As for the anger and outrage, it’s nonexistent. I guess it’s okay to molest young boys…as long as you are female.

Another teacher has now been caught having sex with an underage student, this time during school in a classroom. Don’t worry about losing your job, though. There’s a bar in Seattle that will help out.
