Blame Where It’s Due

The defense spending bill has ballooned from $83 Billion to $106 Billion, and I cannot blame Obama for this. No, the blame for this boondoggle and waste of taxpayer money lies squarely on the shoulders of the men and women who call themselves congress.

A president can veto. He can offer budgets. He can lead by example, or strongarm, or coerce.

One thing a president cannot do is pass a law. That is the sole responsibility of congress.

Things will not get better until we get congress to stop packing pork into every bill, spending like drunken frat boys hitting the local strip club after a lopsided homecoming victory.

So, there you go, Mr. President. You’re off the hook for this one.
