Thoughts On Abortion Doctor's Murder

I meant to post about this earlier today. My apologies for not getting it up sooner.

The notorious abortion doctor from Kansas, who was good friends with the KS Governor, was killed yesterday in his church, where he served as an usher.

I never agreed with the man's beliefs that late term abortions were okay. That is the end of the discussion on abortion in this post.

I condemn in the strongest possible way the taking of this man's life.

It was wrong to kill him. It was wrong to take a life anywhere, but to kill someone in church is especially heinous, an affront to all churchgoers.

The person who did this should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. It is wrong to take a human life, except in circumstances such as capital punishment or self defense or protecting another innocent life. I will not entertain any thoughts that this killing fit under any of these categories.

The media will spend a lot of time comdemning the entire pro-life movement because of the actions of the killer. That will sadly take the spotlight away from the proper place. This should not be a platform for either side in the abortion debate. It should be a platform for condemning a cold-blooded murder.
