Mainstream Media Bias Alert, Celebrity Death Edition

Interesting notes from Friday’s national media news shows. Collectively, they spent 95% of their coverage on the death of pedophile Michael Jackson. ABC spent only 1:03, CBS only spent 0:34 and NBC only spent 1:22 on news items other than MJ. This includes the whole 20 seconds ABC spent on the cap and trade bill, which will affect people a lot more than a freak dying. Less than three minutes total combined by the three networks were spent on anything but MJ.

In a Mainstream Media Bias moment, only ABC bothered with party identification when telling people about the Detroit city coucilwoman who pleaded guilty of bribery charges, who is coincidentally married to one of the most powerful members of congress. By the way, both husband and wife are DEMOCRATS. I know that’s news to CBS and NBC.
