More Celebrity Deaths
Harve Presnell and Karl Malden have joined the growing ranks of those celebrities who are unfortunate enough to die during the same year as Michael Jackson, and therefore are paid less attention to their lives than they deserve.
Presnell was in many movies and tv shows over the years, most notably Paint Your Wagon and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. For those of you who are Pretender fans, he played the father of Miss Parker.
Karl Malden won an oscar for A Streetcar Named Desire and was nominated for another for On The Waterfront. However, for millions, he will forever be known for The Streets of San Francisco (which introduced the world to Michael Douglas) and his American Express commercials (he started the “Don’t Leave Home Without Them” line).
They join Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Billy Mays as people who have died recently but have been overshadowed by something else.
