Back on the beat

I have had a busy holiday season, and sadly I just began letting the blog go a bit. There are many things going on in my life right now, and I was letting other things take precedence over the Ramblings.

I had even reached the point of wondering if I should even continue with this exercise. Was I merely stroking my own ego, or did I actually provide a moment of enjoyment now and then for others. Did it matter?

And then, the other day, a missive came my way. A person wanted me to know they missed Ramblings, and wanted to know when they would resume.

It hit me. Hard.

This was why I was doing this. That feeling I experienced when I read that note.

A huge thank you to this person (you know who you are). I owe a great deal to you for giving me a bit of a push to get this stodgy old train back on track.

And with that, let's listen for the steam whistle followed closely by the wizened conductor shouting above the noise, "All Aboard!"

Come join me for a trip. It may amuse you, it may bore you. It could anger you or it may delight you. But hopefully it will affect you. And if I am lucky, I'll hear about it.
