Rick Sanchez Gets Zero Support In New Poll

CNN’s Rick Sanchez did a completely scientific study where he flew to his mother’s house and interviewed her and four of her close friends about their support of Sotomayor. He even refers to them multiple times as “wise Latina” women.

What a great cross section of the public, Rick.

You know, I asked myself, my wife, my kids and our pets about you, and unfortunately, the results were unanimous and pretty devastating. You’re a complete loser of a goober who is utterly incapable of being trusted to be honest in your reports.

Bye-bye.

He's Right, So Let's Destroy Him

In a classic case of kill the messenger, lefties are abiding by their playbook in the Sotomayor confirmation hearings. Since they cannot dispute the firefighter, they are going after him personally.

I hope they get him, too. He’s obviously no good. I mean, he has overcome dyslexia to serve 17 years as a firefighter, earning him multiple awards for bravery. What an obvious loser.

Shame on any media who actually go along with this. Sadly, they will. Do you remember Joe the Plumber?

How about Clarence Thomas, Robert Bork, Sarah Palin, George W Bush, Newt Gingrich, or Ronald Reagan? Is there really any need to go on?

Banking This Story For Later Use

Sonia Sotomayor is a member of an elitist, women-only club. I think that is fine. I only post about it here because I want to crow about it the next time the media wets their collective pants over a male belonging to a male-only group.

So, remember this when I use it later.

It Was A Verbal Gaffe When She Said It The Other Six Times, Too

So much for the administration claiming that Sotomayor made a verbal gaffe when she said a Latina woman was smarter than a man. Now it turns out that was a central theme in multiple speeches given over several years.

And, if you want a great read on how lefties and their media lapdogs treated Miguel Estrada (you know, he’s not really Hispanic) versus how they are treating Sotomayor, read this.

Sotomayor Says Capital Punishment is Racist

It appears that Sonia Sotomayor left out a potentially controversial memo from her official response to the Senate questionnaire for her confirmation hearing.

Written while she was working for the Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund (can you imagine the uproar from the lefties if Scalia had belonged to the Sicilian Legal Defense Fund?), Sotomayor’s 1981 memo called the death penalty “racist” and a violation of the present “humanist” society.

The memo held that crime was too “complex” to expect capital punishment to be effective as a deterrent. However, the same memo did not find it too complex to draw a straight line between the racial proportion of people executed and overt racism. A little bit selective reasoning, if you ask me.

The memo also held that in the two years prior to the memo, nothing could be found in any publication that challenged the opposition to the death penalty. I am quite sure they did not look very hard, and probably ignored the writings of Frank Carrington.

Sotomayor Being Handled With Kid Gloves By Press

Remember I told you the networks would treat Sotomayor different from conservative nominees? Here it is – the MSM gushes over Sotomayor’s “compelling life story” while they barely mentioned Clarence Thomas’s rise from poverty.

The media can’t even figure out if Sotomayor is pro choice or pro life. Of course, they couldn’t figure that out about Ginsburg, either.

Sotomayor Called Nasty, Angry, And A Terror By Attorneys Reviewing Circuit Court Judges

Out of 21 Circuit Court Judges reviewed by attorneys who have argued cases before them, the only judge who received negative ratings was Sonia Sotomayor. 18 judges received positive ratings, and two were mixed. Comments on Sotomayor include, “Nasty,” “Angry,” and “A terror on the bench.”

Try A Different Perspective

Ask yourself if a man went on record as saying men were smarter than women and would naturally make better decisions, and then that man were found to be a member of a White Power group, would that man stand a chance in hell of nomination for the Supreme Court, much less being approved.

Now read here about Sonia Sotomayor, who has said Latin women are smarter than men, and belongs to La Raza.

Meanwhile, CBS can’t decide if Sotomayor can be called “liberal” or not.

ramblings

Okay, She Can Be The First Puerto Rican Female Activist

Oops. Turns out that no matter what happens with the confirmation, Sotomayor can’t be the first Hispanic to serve on the Supreme Court. That’s because there’s already been one on the Court, compliments of a Republican president.

How About We Ask If She Plans To Uphold The Constitution?

Here are some good questions that should be asked of Judge Sotomayor at her confirmation hearing.

I Could See This In NY Or CA, But Texas?

A hospital supervisor in the Dallas area was forced to remove an offensive article from her work area recently. What was the offending article? An American flag. Actually, it was removed by a coworker who moved here 14 years ago from Africa. I wonder what offended her most - the fact that America welcomed her with open arms and provided her with the chance to make a living, or the fact that she is free in this country to be as stupid as she wants?

Mainstream Media Bias Alert, SCOTUS Edition

Read here and here and here for stories on how the media has treated SCOTUS nominees from Republican Presidents in the past. Do you think there’s a chance in hell they will even come close to such scrutiny with Sotomayor?

Not if you judge by Chris Matthews, who said the only opposition to Sotomayor is coming from “crazies” and “whack jobs” like “The Cheneys, the Newt Gingriches, the Rush Limbaughs.”

Supreme Court Turning Left

If you did not think Obama was going to nominate a leftie judge who will be one of the biggest activists on the bench, you were just plain wrong.

People were warning of this weeks ago. Now it looks like his choice is Sonia Sotomayor. Stand by for heavy rolls, America.

Looks like not everyone is overjoyed with her selection, especially those who worked with her in the past.

Obama said he wants a judge with “empathy” for particular groups of people. In other words, someone who will overturn the constitution when convenient.

Sotomayor is on record as claiming that women, especially Latina women, will come to better decisions than men.

MSNBC is already trying to pave the way for her confirmation, asking of Republicans would "dare" vote against the first hispanic female. I guess they forgot that lefties had no problem at all voting against Clarence Thomas, not to mention lying and trying desperately to destroy his reputation.
