The Obama Department of Justice
has rejected a program put together by Georgia’s Secretary of State (a Republican) that would search through voter registration rolls, looking for people who are ineligible because they are not US citizens.
The DOJ says the program is racist and discriminatory, saying “
applicants who are Hispanic, Asian or African-American are more likely than white applicants, to statistically significant degrees, to be flagged for additional scrutiny.”
The Secretary of State responded with, “
With this decision, DOJ has now barred Georgia from continuing the citizenship verification program that DOJ lawyers helped to craft. DOJ’s decision also nullifies the orders of two federal courts directing Georgia to implement the procedure for the 2008 general election…DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to register non-citizens to vote in Georgia’s elections, and the state has no ability to verify an applicant’s citizenship status or whether the individual even exists…. Clearly, politics took priority over common sense and good public policy.”
The courts ordered that the state implement this procedure to help fight voter fraud.
The DOJ lawyers (pre-Obama) helped craft the program.
The DOJ Obama political appointees have decided that if you try to eliminate people from voter registration rolls because they are illegally registered because they fail the most basic requirement – US Citizenship – and more people who are found to fail that requirement are minorities, then the program is
obviously discriminatory.
Surely, you would think they could find all those white people from Denmark, Finland, and Australia who are illegally registering to vote. Surely, there can’t be more people who are black or Hispanic who are illegal aliens who somehow wind up on the registration rolls. Perish the thought (and don't call me Shirley).
The reason that Georgia had to get the DOJ's permission to enact this program is due to the Voting Rights Act, passed decades ago to address wrongs from the Jim Crow era. When you look at the voting fraud in recent years in
Milwaukee,
Philadelphia,
Indiana,
Ohio, and other northern areas, and you consider that ACORN is nationwide in its scam to elect lefties, it's readily apparent that this law is overdue for filing in the round file.
Your vote counts less when illegal votes are allowed to dilute the results. That’s never bothered lefties, as most voting fraud incidents involve votes for Democrats.
I understand why illegal aliens vote for lefties, but why do dead people and imaginary people always vote for lefties?
